The State House Trip
Joshua,
Thank you for writing a letter to request a meeting with Governor Phil Scott. When he asked students what the best part of the visit was, they said it was meeting him. This is a trip we will remember!

The One Hundredth Day of
School !
Students worked together to read 100 books, but they are not stopping there. Every book read will be represented with a heart and posted on the wall outside of the classroom.
February is, I Love to Read and Write Month.

We are looking for volunteers to join us for the next winter wellness activity on February 17th. It will be a fun day of skiing in Craftsbury.
In the middle of the day, right after lunch, students engineer and design for a very quiet 20 minutes. It is our quiet, thinking time. Today, many students became interested in putting batteries together with lights, scissors and wires. One student made a very well designed electomagnet. He found the idea in a book that he was reading. Another student made a beaded craft that swirled in a spiral design. With the excitement of new projects, I headed to Dad's 4x4. I had to add new gadgets for tomorrow. If you have any small items that you think we could use, you may send them in.
Wish List: buttons, wire, nuts and bolts, old phones, speakers or radios that could be taken apart, batteries, hot glue sticks, old game pieces ( do not buy items, let's
recycle ).
Thank you,
Ms. Rapoza
Inspired by wonderful third graders, today. Engineering, tomorrow!
